Only CAE's permanent employees and CAE joint venture employees who work full- or part-time are eligible for this program.
Although all volunteering hours are important, this specific program is open to employees who volunteer more than 50 hours per year.
You can only apply once a year for one cause. If you decide to submit one application for each non-profit organization you volunteer with, the Vice President, Public Affairs and Global Communications will decide to which one the CA$250 will be donated.
A quota was determined for this program since a specific budget is allocated each year for donations and sponsorship programs.
There are many important causes but to have an impact on some of them, it is important to focus on a few specific areas. CAE has decided to concentrate on education in science, technology and engineering; encouraging young people to pursue pilot careers; encouraging organizations that aim at improving safety (aviation or patient safety); supporting communities where we operate when they face a natural disaster; supporting organizations that help the military, their families and veterans; supporting local hospitals, especially when they value simulation-based training for healthcare professionals; health and welfare services.
We believe that organizations that are in line with such a policy should be prioritized to receive financial support from the company.
Each application that is in line with our main areas of focus and our corporate policy will be receiving CA$250 (up to 150 employees).
If we receive only 50 applications between April and November that are in line with CAE's policy, all "non-priority" applications will go into a draw and 100 employees will receive CA$250 for their causes. The draw will take place in November.
The main areas of focus are:
This program offers a fixed amount of CA$250.
CAE's Vice President, Public Affairs and Global Communications will review all applications twice a year (April 30 and November 15). The donations will be made directly to the organization in May and December.
Once you apply, you will receive an email confirming we received your application. In May and November, you will receive another email confirming or not the donation to your organization.
Each application will be reviewed by the Vice President, Public Affairs and Global Communications.
For compliance reasons, we have to ensure that the money goes directly to the organization and not to an individual.
There are three possible methods of payment:
If none of those three options can be provided, the application will not be accepted.
If the organization provides banking information on its official letterhead, we will make an electronic fund transfer.
Depending on the method that was provided, CAE will make the donation by:
Unfortunately, for compliance and ethical reasons this is not an acceptable option. CAE must make a donation to an organization and not to an employee.
Please send an email to Demandes de don / Donation requests if you have any questions.
